Stunning view from the property which had everything you could need for a peaceful holiday. Watched otters hunting their morning breakfast in the loch, such a treat to see. Spacious accommodation in an idyllic location.

The house is in a beautiful, quiet area. You do need a car tot get anywhere. There is plenty to do in the area The house itself is efficiently laid out with good sized bedrooms and kitchen/living area. We were a party of seven adults (family) and we fitted in perfectly. Thank you Pamela!

We had a wonderful week around Little Loch Broom, helped by the superb weather. As well as being in a peaceful location, Pamela's house is spacious, extremely comfortable and very well-equipped. It certainly lived up to our expectations and more. There is little to do from the doorstep, but there are numerous lovely walks within a 10-minute drive and Ullapool is only 15 minutes away. All in all, Taigh a' Bhraoin Cottage was the perfect place for our holiday. Thank you, Pamela.

We had a wonderful week, Taigh a' Bhraoin beautifully furnished, well equipped and spotlessly clean in a peaceful stunning location on the side of Loch Broom. Cottage is in an excellent position near Ullapool and perfect for exploring the glorious Highlands. Pamela was most welcoming n helpful with local knowledge and always responded to emails immediately. All directions and information were clear n concise. We are already looking forward to our next Taigh a' Bhraoin adventure. Thankyou Pam n Team

This is a great place, everything we needed and a beautiful view over the loch. Kitchen had great facilities, and the outside seating was ideal. Wildlife a plenty and views up and down Loch Broom. If you get the opportunity I’d highly recommend it.

This is a fantastic house in a superb location. The house was immaculately clean and well prepared when we arrived. The kitchen is well equipped and practical (some of the knives were even sharp, such a rarity in a holiday home!) The living room was spacious and cosy with an amazing view of loch broom. We are sure we saw otters a couple of times. There is a good outdoor seating area with fire pit and barbecue and we even found a barbecue gadget to let us barbecue the gorgeous scallops we bought at the fish market in Ullapool! We were 3 adults and 3 teenagers and there was plenty of room in the house for everyone to spread out and come together when we needed. The surroundings are stunning with plenty to do. Even if having a 'lazy day' you can strike out from the house and walk down the loch side or up the coffin road into the hills without needing the car. The location is handy for any keen hillwalkers with some striking hills surrounding in all directions. There is a thoughtfully prepared folder in the house with information on local services and activities, many of which are based in Ullapool which is just over a 15 minute drive so easy to pop in for supplies. There is a large supermarket, some brilliant eateries and local gift/craft shops and also an outdoor shop for kit if needed. We booked the paddle boarding for the young ones with whatsUP Ullapool and it was an incredible experience. Pamela's communication was clear and responsive. We wouldn't hesitate to book this one again if in the same area. Thanks for the fantastic holiday!

Absolutely awesome, possibly the best holiday cottage we've ever stayed in. This was our 2nd visit, and we're already looking to book our next. Tips for travellers are: The Seafood Shack in Ullapool, the beach at Achnahaird, pies from the Lochinver Larder & the walk from Silver Bridge to Little Grave Bridge along Black Water.

Good communication before arrival. Lovely property in a stunning location. Well equipped and clean. Beautiful area. Would highly recommend.
Highly recommend Shellfish safaris near Gairloch and the wildlife boat cruise from Ullapool. Rhue lighthouse was a beautiful quiet beach where we enjoyed snorkelling and fishing. Went to Corrieshalloch gorge but due to covid, the suspension bridge was closed so couldn't see the gorge or waterfall! Would recommend checking the bridge is open before visiting. Saw so much wildlife during out stay including tawny owl and porpoises from the living room window.

Taigh a Bhraoin is a most comfortable and welcoming cottage, with splendid views of Loch Broom and the mountains around. Time spent in the cottage is as enjoyable as any of the trips to the many interesting local attractions. Seals and porpoises can often be seen in the loch. The cottage gains from being in a quiet road on the west side of Loch Broom and away from the busy Ullapool road. It is most welcome that the start of this quiet road has just been resurfaced and gone are the potholes that previous visitors had to negotiate! The location is equally useful for exploring the coast road south or going north beyond Ullapool. The owners have thought carefully about the needs of visitors, with the kitchen equipped much better than many other cottages we have stayed in.

A very well appointed modern four bedroomed property. Double with en-suite upstairs plus a twin room and seperate wc/sink, and another double downstairs with a twin room next to it. Shared bathroom with shower for those. Kitchen very well equiped with washer and dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and oven. 6 seater table and large lounge with two settees plus two comfy armchairs. TV if you really have to, but the scenery and peace and quite allows anyone to relax and forget about the world watching the many varieties of birds feeding outside. Thers a large outside table plus chimera and barbeque, but the Scottish midges beat us on that experience.
Ample parking for two cars though the steep incline meant that it was easier to park one car on the single track road without blocking the few local cars that passed.
This is a place for those that wish to get out into the stunning Sutherland countryside, and only about 20 minutes from Ullapool; where there's a Tesco, a Petrol Station, and loads of eateries, plus the usual tourist shops.
A thoughtful 'welcome pack' had been provided but this might not always be offered so stock up on provisions on the way up at Dingwall, just in case.
Don't forget some extra toilet rolls. It IS a self catering place!!
We had a great stay and look to return again next year.

A wonderful house in a brilliant location

We've enjoyed exploring all over the Scottish highlands, but I'd have to say this is just the most wonderful cottage we've been in to date! It's incredibly comfortable, and really well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It's in a really lovely and quiet location, overlooking Loch Broom, with only a minor road at the front, so very little traffic. It's only 20 mins from Ullapool, with all of it's facilities and restaurants. And on top of all that, it's in the middle of some of the most spectacular landscape in the world. Within ~90 mins, you can be in Inverness, Achmelvich beach, Kishorn (seafood!), Applecross, Lochcarron, etc. Just wonderful.
